Small, actionable things

you can do starting TODAY to shift more to the middle.

Real-life examples

of parents who have shifted their way of being with their children for the better.

No one told us how hard it would be to parent without veering into either harshness (threats, punishment, yelling) OR into permissiveness.

We all want to do better for our kids. Maybe you came to parenting determined to leave behind the hurtful ways you were treated. Or maybe you just wanted to offer more support and more openness to your kids.

Maybe you read books. Took classes. Did therapy. And you imagined that all of those wonderful supports, plus the great amount of love you feel for your children, would carry you through the difficult times with them.

It can be so frustrating to realize that our love and hard work are sometimes not enough to point the way for us in the hard moments.

That sometimes, when we reach for a way to be when the chips are down, the only two ways we can think of are 1) being harsh (yelling, threatening, or punishing), or 2) letting them walk all over us (being permissive).

Join me to learn what the middle path can look like, and how you can walk it consistently to stay balanced more of the time in your parenting.

This workshop is a must if...

  • You want to do things differently but just haven’t figured out how (yet!)
  • You need help understanding what it looks like to stay warm and loving while also setting good, clear limits (it’s possible!)
  • You’re ready to learn how to stay on the middle road in your parenting, even when your kid REALLY tests the boundaries (and your patience)

A personal invitation from Caroline...

Helping parents find balance in their parenting and relationship with their kids is what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Almost since the day my son was born, I have felt acutely how hard it is to find that elusive balance point. Right away, I tipped toward harshness—which I swore I wouldn’t do as a parent.

Before he was a year old, I had dedicated myself to finding tools that would allow me to set healthy limits with him while also not sacrificing the warmth and love I wanted him to feel from me. For the past 8 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of parents to help them do the same.

This workshop is the culmination of everything I’ve learned and experienced about how to stay anchored in the middle space between harshness and permissiveness when we parent. To guide our children toward being kind, resilient, and responsible people—without teaching them to be entitled OR stripping away their sense of their own goodness.

If you’re ready to figure out how to parent from a more balanced place, I can’t wait to help you get there.

Warmly,
