Hand in Hand’s Foundations Course for Parents and Caregivers

with Caroline Griswold

I warmly invite you to join me for six weeks of transformational learning and support for your parenting, just in time for summer!

For over 30 years, Hand in Hand Parenting has supported parents around the world when parenting gets hard. Our five connection-based "listening tools" offer simple, effective ways for you to:

  • Provide emotional support for your children
  • Set limits without shame or punishment
  • Add more playfulness and closeness to family life, and
  • Get ongoing support for the hard work of parenting.

In this Foundations class, we’ll explore the 5 Hand in Hand Listening Tools through our weekly calls and with video and audio content from an online classroom. You will also get to experience the power of parent-to-parent listening time each week. The class will be small (no more than six parents) to ensure that each parent has time to be heard.

The live classes will be between 60-90 minutes each (depending on the class size), on Zoom. The class will meet for six Thursdays starting April 25 and ending June 6 (skipping May 9).

This class is perfect for parents of children ages 1-10. There’s no prerequisite—please join us wherever you are on your parenting journey.

About Me:

I am a mom of one son, now 10. We live in Spain, but San Francisco was our home until recently. I am 100% certain that I would not have the open, warm, and playful relationship with my son that I have today without the Hand in Hand tools. I have a kid with big feelings and big behaviors, and a personal history that made it very hard for me to hang in there with him during his big feelings or when his behavior went off track. I love sharing these tools with parents and seeing how they bring families closer and help you be the people and parents you wish to be. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing these wonderful tools with you.

What Parents Are Saying:

"Caroline created such a welcoming space for us to be heard and valued just as we are. I looked forward to the sharing and listening opportunities and to hearing the insightful and thought ways Caroline would answer questions. I had space to really think through some tough challenges I was facing and supportive people to come along with me on that learning journey. I feel like this group was healing and enriching to me both as a person and a parent." –2022 class participant

"Part of the huge value of working with Caroline is that I never felt that I was being judged with whatever difficulty came up. That’s so big. There were many times I could see a resolution or just get a perspective on whatever situation just by sharing it out loud… I didn’t really need or want anybody else to tell me what to do; I just needed the space to talk about it and to have somebody carefully and lovingly listening." –Thais H.
